Abortion is a moral issue not a political issue. The church must continue to cry out against the hideous practice of shedding the blood of innocent unborn children. Convenience abortion is a grievous sin. Just because our Court system legitimized the practice in 1973 doesn't make it right.
Perhaps the day will come in the future when our nation once again embraces the Sanctity of Human Life Ethic. In the meantime, the church must focus on training its own families in righteousness and maintaining salt in itself. In so doing we can be a light in the darkness and actually have influence on those around us. Furthermore, we must engage in practical ministry to both educate the general public on this matter and help those in difficult circumstances to choose life.
I encourage you to "adopt" a local crisis pregnancy center and get involved in practical ministry connected to this issue. There are many things we can do to be a voice for life beyond the ballot box. Have at it!
The article I am connecting you to in this post is quite lengthy. You might like to bookmark it and have it for future reference. It will make you think about a number of things, but the bottom line is this: known observational science is on the side of the Pro-life movement.
That should come as no surprise since the Bible (our final authority on any issue) teaches life begins at conception. Real observational science always confirms the Bible.
