I begin this week by calling your attention to a prophecy found in Isaiah that seems so unlikely in today’s world. In Isaiah 45:17 the Word of God declares: “But Israel shall be saved in the Lord with an everlasting salvation: ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded world without end.”
The future of Israel is a major theme in the Word of God. In fact, the Second Coming of our Lord in great power and glory (Matt. 24:29-30) is centered upon Israel. The Lord is destined to return to Jerusalem following the defeat of the armies of the nations at the great battle of Armageddon. At that time, he will restore the kingdom to Israel and take his place on the throne of David from which he shall govern the world.
Then Israel shall be saved with an everlasting salvation! However, until then there shall be wars and rumors of wars for Israel culminating in the time of Jacob’s trouble during the coming 70th week of Daniel’s famous prophecy (Daniel 9:24-27).
ISRAEL
As you probably know six Israeli hostages were murdered by Hamas terrorists recently with their dead bodies discovered by the IDF this past Saturday. News of this atrocity hit the nation of Israel Sunday morning, and it shook the nation.
Now Israel is not only fighting a war on seven fronts (yes that is correct), but they face great dissention within as thousands protest the current handling of the war by Prime Minister Netanyahu. If you are like me, I want to pray for Israel and I like to know the latest things effecting the nation. With that in mind, perhaps you would enjoy checking out these two links.
