President Donald Trump is defeating terrorism by allowing the military to do its job and by combating extremist ideology, a former adviser to the president said Friday

“Our troops have been unleashed,” Sebastian Gorka, former deputy assistant to President Donald Trump and counterterrorism adviser, said Friday at The Heritage Foundation.

“I had a tier one operator, meaning a top of the top special operations guy on detail from the National Security Council … come up to me in maybe week five of the administration and say, ‘Sir, you have no idea, no idea how the morale amongst our forces have skyrocketed because we are no longer micromanaged … and we are allowed to do our job, and it is clear the president trusts us,” he said.

President Trump is getting some things done. He is turning America into a leader again. The fight against ISIS is one example. While the threat of terrorism is real President Trump is providing strong leadership to defeat the ideology behind Islamic Terrorism.

Pray for our President. His personality and bluntness keep the pot stirred a bit, but he is fighting for this country and it is refreshing to see.

Next week, the House and Senate will take their final votes on tax reform. The president’s goal is to sign the legislation into law before Christmas.

Although there are still some unknown details, the important parts of the bill for most Americans are already known and would greatly improve our current, woefully out-of-date tax code.

The bottom line is that taxpayers across America can expect a tax cut. The bill would lower tax rates for individuals and businesses, double the standard deduction, and significantly increase the child tax credit.

I have a simple take on taxes. The lower the better. Why? Have you took a close look at the way our Federal government runs these days? Our Federal government is taking in record revenue month after month. Check the data for your self here. In spite of record revenue we still spend billions and billions of dollars each month we do not have.

If we held spending to what it was just five years ago, current revenues would be balancing the budget and actually reducing the national debt!!!!!

But alas my friends, we just take the tax dollars of hard working Americans and throw them down a black hole in Washington D.C. Consequently, if we ever have the opportunity to cut taxes I say DO IT!

The truth is economic growth spawned by tax cuts will more than compensate for the reduction because the government will end up netting the same receipts or more anyway. I pay my taxes and will always do so, but whenever I can work to see them reduced I will do so without any regrets.

Seniors Face Return of Obamacare Tax in 2018

The clock is ticking for the return of an Obamacare tax that opponents say will hit older Americans on fixed incomes particularly hard, costing them an extra $500 per couple.

Congress hasn’t taken action to delay or eliminate the tax before Jan. 1, when a moratorium on it expires. In 2015, Congress acted on a bipartisan basis to postpone the tax, which dates to President Barack Obama’s second year in office.

“It’s not just seniors, but clearly seniors are more financially strapped. And $500 per couple might not seem like a lot, but for seniors on fixed incomes, my heavens, it’s a real problem,” Jim Martin, chairman of the 60 Plus Association, a conservative organization for senior citizens, told The Daily Signal.

Perhaps a repeal of Obamacare would rid the country of the taxes the legislation created. Of course, there are no guarantees as our Congress is apt to create the same tax under a different name!

In my opinion a flat tax is the only way to eliminate the constant debate over taxes. A flat tax at some reasonable rate established for individuals, families, and corporations with minimal deductions would do several things.

First, everyone would have some "skin in the game" so to speak. Second, everyone could easily determine tax liability and plan accordingly. Third, politicians would be forced to a shorter work regiment since they would have very little to debate!!

I doubt common sense will ever prevail again in America. Instead, we will tax and spend the republic into its grave.

Mosque Gives $1 Million to University of Cincinnati

An Ohio mosque is donating $1 million to The University of Cincinnati (UC), which, in return, is creating a pro-Islam program to address so-called concerns about “Islamophobia” on campus.

The large sum of money paying the university to promote Islam through its newly created “titled professorship in Islamic Studies” comes from the Islamic Center of Greater Cincinnati mosque, and more specifically, from Dr. Inayat Malik and his wife, Ishrat Malik. Coming from Pakistan in 1967 to specialize in urology at the UC Medical Center, the Muslim urologist was a member of the UC College of Medicine clinical faculty for 20 years and served as the board chair of the Islamic Center for 18 years.

It is disappointing to see this kind of thing developing in America. Islam cannot support a free society as the nations dominated by the religion clearly demonstrate in various nations of the world today.

If the Lord tarries our nation will pay a steep price for promoting this false spirituality in its institutions. Of course, universities need money and there is a lot of it in Muslim controlled nations. That money is being used to influence America in many ways.

Keep praying and keep preaching the gospel. It is truly the only hope for our nation.
