Iran and Israel are on a path to a major conflict and this past Saturday illustrates why. Iran sent a drone from Syria into Israeli airspace and it was shot down immediately.
However, that was not the end of the story. Israel promptly launched attacks on targets inside Syria taking out certain military assets. Of course, if we know Iran has produced mass drones capable of widespread destruction Israel certainly was aware of it a long time ago!
Israel is a small nation and if Iran puts perhaps thousands of these drones into an effort to destroy Israel it constitutes a major threat to Israeli security. It is no wonder Israel acted swiftly. Don't be surprised if this conflict escalates into a much more serious matter. Israel's very existence is at stake and she will do what is necessary to survive.
